Spring Begins - Ace of Cups
Ace of Water, Rivers, Chalices, Vessels, Hearts, Hearts
As we begin a year of the Minor Arcana I thought I’d give a bit of information on the order I’m going in relation to the suits & seasons. They are not typical, and you may assign them differently. I would suggest you then just follow along with the cards knowing you don’t see them as fitting the current season.
For me the suit & seasonal association are:
Water = Spring - Fire = Summer - Earth = Autumn - Air = Winter
The more common progression switches Spring (Fire) & Summer (Water)
I also typically use the Elemental Association when I’m talking about the suits.
The Ace of Water is a beginning. An invitation to love in all it’s forms, including self love.
It is a joyful card that can indicate a happy home/work/life. It is an overflowing of emotion, any of the emotions. Emotions are neither good or bad, it’s what action you take because of them, that can lead to either something supportive of yourself or something unhealthy.
It can be an indication of some type of birth, or an opening of intuition or understanding.
Knowing how to nourish your soul/self. Finding emotional satisfaction.
Beginning to understand how your own emotions play a part in your life.
